If there was ever a wedding that felt like Austin, this was it.

John and Chey's wedding day took us through the heart of downtown Austin, from getting ready at the Hilton Austin to a rooftop ceremony overlooking the city, and finally to a packed dance floor celebration at The Sunset Room.

The day started surrounded by the energy that downtown Austin is known for. Guests moved through busy city streets, music drifted from nearby patios, and the city buzzed around us as everyone prepared for the day ahead.

Getting Ready at Hilton Austin

After getting ready at the Hilton Austin, John and Chey shared a first look before spending time with their wedding party. One of my favorite things about downtown weddings is how every corner becomes a backdrop. Modern architecture, historic buildings, city streets, and unexpected moments all become part of the story.

A Rooftop Wedding Ceremony at Ember Kitchen

From there, guests boarded Let's Roll shuttles and made their way to Ember Kitchen. Their ceremony took place on the rooftop overlooking downtown Austin. As they exchanged vows, a Texas cargo train rolled through the background, creating one of those moments you could never plan but somehow couldn't imagine happening anywhere else.

Following the ceremony, everyone headed to The Sunset Room for dinner, toasts, and a celebration that carried late into the night.

Downtown Austin Wedding Portraits

Before the party kicked into full gear, we slipped away for portraits around downtown Austin. We wandered the streets surrounding The Sunset Room, embraced the city lights, and even stopped for photos with one of Austin's iconic bike shuttles. It was the perfect reminder that some of the best wedding photos happen when you lean into the personality of the city around you.
